The Memorial Sports Center (MSC), opened in 1993, is the product of a resoundingly successful community fundraising campaign that combined donations, countless volunteer hours, “in kind” services, and incredible community generosity. The community then continued to invest in our shared facility with an upgrade in 1995 from the original temporary ice system to a seasonal ice system, followed by a second upgrade in 2000 to install permanent refrigeration. Our community also generously provided for the installation of donated boards and bleachers, as well as a new Zamboni room.
MSC hosts the Middlebury Amateur Hockey Association, Middlebury Union High School, and numerous adult and club hockey organizations during the winter season (October through April). During the spring, summer, and fall, MSC hosts community events like graduation and advancement ceremonies, Middlebury Parks & Rec’s Camp Kookamunga, Homeward Bound’s Woofstock fundraiser, and many others.
The facility is currently managed by Michael McAuliffe. Please reach out with inquires to manager@memorialsportscenter.org
