Memorial Sports Center hosts adult hockey groups throughout the week. Each group has a dedicated volunteer coordinator who organizes the group’s ice rental payment and manages the group’s roster. Most groups have a roster of full season “regular” players and keep a list of substitute players who are invited to skate when spots are available. Details for each of MSC’s adult groups and contact information for each group’s organizer are listed below.

Level of Play: Every Given Sunday is fast yet still fun and laid back. Although most of the players have at least a high school hockey background, anyone with energy and a good attitude is welcome.

Level of Play: Co-ed, wide mix of player skill levels and ages. Inspired by the group’s founder, Eric “Mort” Mortensen, the Monday Knights play a fun weekly game characterized by having a great time, sharing play and supporting the growth and development of all involved along the way. Most of the players in this group never played organized hockey, and many have learned the game in their adult years. Folks with tempers or those seeking to relive glory days would not be a good fit for this group.

Tuesday Night Hockey

Level of Play: Co-ed, mix of intermediate to advanced players. The goal is to skate to the level of the skaters on the ice with you, include everyone in the play, and get better at the game of hockey. We love to play music while we skate and having fun is mandatory!

Wednesday Morning Pond Hockey

Level of Play: Co-ed, mixed level of player ability and ages. This group plays cross-ice “pond hockey” style 3v3, with changes on the fly and without goalies. Emphasis is on having fun and getting a good skate with friends in before the work day begins.

Skilled players share their talents, beginners get a warm welcome, and everyone on the ice has a great time. Music during play, no scoreboard, we’re just about the joy of hockey. We have several openings for our full season roster and there’s always room on our sub list.

Level of Play: Mystix is a co-ed hockey group that includes players from novice to skilled. Our group is a great place for newer skaters with limited hockey experience to start. Our play is centered around skating to everyone’s skill level so that faster skaters mix well with less skilled skaters. The roster for regular players is full, but players are always welcome to join the sub list.
