Our friends from the Middlebury Amateur Hockey Association (MAHA) have opened registration for the 2023-24 youth hockey season. Families interested in participating will register through MAHA’s registration portal (click here to proceed).
New players and 8U
Families new to hockey should start with the Bruins Learn to Play program, a 4 session intro to skating and skills at the Memorial Sports Center. Participants receive a complete set of equipment. Bruins LTP will run mid Oct. thru mid Nov. Registration for this program will open in late August and is available to new players only. Learn more here.
Alternatively, if your player has skating experience and is ready to jump in to a full season, select the House Mites (8U) program, which offers 2 skills sessions and 1 cross-ice game / week (open to players born in birth years 2015 and later) or one of our team-based programs (birth years 2014 and above).
Uncertain? We would recommend starting with Bruins Learn to Play and then transitioning to House Mites in mid November (brand new players who take this path will receive a $180 discount on their House Mite fees).
Returning Players and older age groups
MAHA currently plans to offer coed teams at the 10U (Tier 2 and Tier 3/4), 12U (Tier 3), and 14U (2 teams – Tier TBD) levels this winter. Note: final team numbers and tier assignments are always dependent on enrollment, so please help spread the world and encourage other families to participate this season.
